This is the first post that I am making on my blog and well who knows how it's going to turn out...

I have been reading up on all the celebrity stuff that is going on and the big story that I keep coming across is Tom Cruises Today show interview and after reading all the info on it I started to realize that our country is way too celeb crazy and it's starting to go to far...

I love watching movies, tv, and listening to movie as much as the next guy, but I am not going to base the actions of my life around what my favorite celebrity does. Too many people in this country do whatever their favorite celebrity does. One show on TV that really disturbs me is the MTV show that gives people make overs just so that they can look more like a certain celebrity. Is anyone else disturbed by this? I mean there are people out there that are so fascinated by how a certain made-up celebrity looks in a picture that they will actually subject themselves to surgery and several months of pain just to look a little more like a celebrity. It's insane!!!

Another thing that pisses me off is all the celebrity reality shows. As if celebs didn't take up enough of our time now we have to watch them in their day to day activities or even do something as stupid as learn how to dance. Dancing with the stars is the hottest show on tv this summer and in my personal opinion it is about the dumbest concept for a television show that I have ever heard of!! Are our lives so drab that we actually have to take time to watch celebrities learning how to dance and competing in a competition that has absolutely NO meaning? At least with American Idol the contestants are actually competing for a specific prize and they are real people that may not have gotten a chance if not for the competition, but here we have a show with no prize except for the pride of the celebrity for being the best dancer. I personally really couldn't care less who the best celebrity dancer is and I am really at a loss for words that so many people do...

I don't know I just wish that people would start worrying more about their own lives or maybe the lives of the people around the world that are poor, sick, or starving. We spend too much time following the lives of the rich and famous and to little time helping the people that actually need our attention. If you find yourself as one of the people that are calling TC an idiot and a lune; just think of all the productive things that could you could have done instead of writing insults at a person that doesn't even know you exist....
